Gwyn+Gideon | Brooklyn Bridge | New England Wedding Photographer

I stayed in Brooklyn last month to attend a photography workshop, and while I was there I met Gwyn and her husband Gideon. We instantly hit it off and decided to do some exploring of the city together! None of us had been to the Brooklyn Bridge before, so we decided to start there. I’ll start by saying I love bridges, and will pretty much enjoy any bridge, but this was AMAZING AND I WANT TO GO BACK. You are suspended 276 feet above water, with incredible views on every side, with locals biking to work past you like it’s no big deal. All car traffic is below you, so you really feel on top of the world.

The sun was real bright, but I’ve been trying to push myself to shoot at all times of day, and I actually kind of love how harsh and bright everything was. It was also super windy, which was perfect in showing off Gwyn’s incredible red hair :)

These guys were so much fun to shoot with, seriously down for anything, including nearly getting mowed over by bikes on the bridge (oops!). They’ve been married for 2.5 years, but dated for 7 before that, and their deep friendship with each other was so evident. We talked about their pup back home in Oklahoma, the band Gideon is in, and our signature dance moves. Gwyn is a fantastic fellow photog and you should check her work out! Feeling super grateful and blessed that my line of work let’s me meet and create friendships with amazing people like this.
