Sarah + Tim | Tourists | Berkshire Wedding Photographer

Everything about Sarah + Tim’s wedding day was perfect. They wanted the setting to be more like a lawn party than a traditional wedding, and they chose Tourists up in the Berkshires because it’s a place that felt the most them. They were actually staying there for a little getaway earlier in the year, looked at each other and said, “why not here??” The newly constructed hotel feels a lot like glamping; it’s surrounded by thick forest, winding pathways, and even sports a suspension bridge over a river. They kept the day simple, from the ceremony out on the lawn, to cocktails in the historic airport rooms, letting the setting and surroundings speak for themselves. Nothing felt rushed or forced, and the day flowed by in such a beautiful, effortless way.

Sarah walked down to meet Tim for their first look on a path that wound around a marsh. They spent a few minutes just getting to be together before the rest of the day began, soaking in the afternoon sun and strolling along the path. We popped inside for some cocktails while their friends and family took their seats down on the lawn (truth be told, I couldn’t get enough of shooting in these rooms!). Their pup, Willett, who was the sole bridal attendant, stole the show during the ceremony. She stood regally in her flower crown, rolled in the grass, and barked at all the right moments. They mingled and chatted with their guests, and then we explored more of the property as the sun set for a few more photos. The sky turned some pretty glorious colors during dinner, continuing the magic of the day.

Sarah + Tim, I so enjoyed being a part of day one of your marriage - thank you for welcoming me in and making me feel like one of the crew! Your day was absolutely beautiful.
