Michelle+Tony | Olio Event Space | Boston Wedding Photographer

These friends. This space. What a DAY. Michelle + Tony got married at Olio Event Space in late August, and the day was filled with joy and love from beginning to end. Their vision was to incorporate their friends and family into as many aspects of the day as possible, which perfectly blended with Olio’s backdrop and invitation to really make the space their own. From the cake to the DJ to the flowers, almost every vendor was a personal friend of the couple (including me!) and it was so cool to see everything come together. A huge shoutout to Alli from My Sunday Afternoon who helped dream up the vision with Michelle, and who did an incredible job at turning a big open space into a beautiful, personal, celebration for them.

The day started with T+M’s first look, right at the top of the stairs of Olio. The room was already bustling with people setting up, but I don’t think they even noticed! Their excitement in seeing each other radiated throughout the whole room. We did family and bridal party photos, using Olio’s cement walls as a backdrop (I mean, how cool are these walls??), then the ceremony began. They read their vows, got prayed over, Flo pronounced them husband and wife, and Tony swooped Michelle up on their way down the isle. We ran across the street for some more photos of the couple, then it was back to Olio for some dessert and dancing!

As a surprise, Tony and his groomsman had choreographed an entire performance to Backstreet Boys’, “As Long as You Love Me,” and it was AMAZING! That kicked off the dancing for the rest of the night. These are friends of mine from church, and it was sooo much fun to celebrate them along with my spiritual family! I knew probably half the people there, which just made it even more fun and special to be apart of their day.
