Rachel+Will | Martha's Vineyard Engagement | Boston Wedding Photographer

Last week I hopped on a ferry for Martha’s Vineyard and met Rachel + Will on the docks where they were waiting to welcome me. Will’s grandmother owns a cottage on the island, and as this is the last summer they have before selling it, they really wanted to document the place they have made so many memories in. We strolled through the gingerbread houses, went to Inkwell Beach (their fav), grabbed pizza at Giordano’s, caught the sunset at Aquinnah Cliffs, and finished the day off with ice cream. This was my first time ever visiting the Vineyard (ridiculous I know, as I’ve lived in Boston for six years), and it was pretty magical.

Rachel met Will during their freshman year of college. One of their first interactions was when Will ran through the rain with her in an attempt to get back to their friend’s dorm room before midnight to sing Rachel happy birthday. He jumped in a water fountain and stomped around to get her to laugh along the way. His zest for life and ability to make Rachel laugh won her over eventually, and they’ve been together ever since. On their 10 year date-aversary, Will asked Rachel to marry him and make it real official on the rooftop of their apartment in Allston. Of course she said yes.

This was SUCH a fun, wonderful day - these guys made me feel like an old friend from the first time we grabbed cocktails a month ago, to welcoming me to their summer getaway and showing me around the Vineyard. I feel so lucky to have gotten to document this exciting time in their lives, AND I can’t wait to go back and explore more of Martha’s vineyard :)
