Megan+Corbin | New Hampshire Engagement

We road-tripped up to the White Mountains of New Hampshire for Megan and Corbin's engagement shoot. SO WORTH IT. We explored Cathedral Ledge and Echo Lake below it, and fell madly in love with the scenery and the sense of freedom it brought. I grew up with Megan, who my family affectionately calls our 'red-headed sister', and our shoot was much like our days as kids: clambering over rocks, barefoot and happy. I will actually be in their wedding this fall, which makes this shoot extra special to me! These two are such solid, kind people, and are always up for a good adventure. But I'll let them share this themselves!

Corbin and I met almost ten years ago in the youth group at our church. During our high school years there were multiple courageous attempts by Corbin to ask me out, but I simply “friend-zoned” him. Yes, I still feel guilty about that, but now that we look back at it, we can see how this allowed us to grow closer as friends and really mature into the people God wanted us to be. After almost six years of Corbin’s patience and waiting, I finally took a leap of faith and went out with him! Ever since that day, our lives have been filled with laughter, smiles, epic adventures, and above all else, lots of love.

In December of 2017, Corbin took me out for a snowboarding day, and it was on the top of a snow covered mountain that he asked me to be his wife! Since that day we have been wedding planning, house hunting, and going through premarital counseling. All of these things have been able to challenge us as a couple to lean into God for strength and trust. Since Corbin and I got engaged on top of a snow covered mountain, it only seemed right that we would hike up a mountain to take our engagement photos!

Corbin and I are what you call the “adventurous type”. Our free time is mostly spent outside riding motorcycles, hiking, and snowboarding. One of our favorite things to do together is road trip to new places, and that is why taking not only one road trip to Boston, but a second to New Hampshire, was perfect for our engagement photos. Going to the White Mountains in NH was a new experience for each of us and the trip was so much fun! Between the road trip, the lakeside picnic, and the amazing photo session; the engagement session was exactly what Corbin and I needed. Taking photos with Abigail was so relaxing, and honestly fun for both Corbin and I! She created a setting that put us at ease and allowed us to be genuinely ourselves. Through the hiking, dancing on a mountain top, and smashing in a lake; Abigail gave us an experience that strengthened our relationship and love for each other. We couldn’t be happier with our experience and the fantastic photos that Abigail produced from it.
